- I was bought up in a country service town having had instilled in me a strong protestant religious leaning I shrugged this all off at the tender age of seven when I returned home one day from a particularly unpleasant service and informed my bewildered mother I would not be going back to church for Sunday school from that day forward. So I was a very self aware and determined, self opinionated - somewhat temperamental child - I was also considered extremely quiet though not when provoked...who wouldn't?
